Whether he's leaving or staying, an injury in the last game of the season with the game sewn up would have been the worst possible result. He is still coming back from a knee injury, so made perfect sense.

He was brought off before the end so he could get an standing ovation from the crowd, for his magnificent leadership this season.

He isn't leaving next season.

In his post match interview he seemed very positive about next seasons Europa as if he was looking forward to it.

Anyway if he leaves will he be booed when he returns to play against us?
